1961 Ford Falcon Ranchero… I will trade for a extended-cab step-side or style-side.

This Ranchero was in Dry West Texas for more than 50 years and has nice patina and very little rust. (Complete project just needs finishing) I bought a new battery, cleaned the fuel tank, changed the air cleaner, replaced the master cylinder and made sure the brakes worked. Then I found the original radiator was missing the drain plug and wasn’t holding water, ordered the wrong size plug, bought a new aluminum radiator, meanwhile, plugged the original with a bolt… all while starting on the interior.

Then I ordered a windshield (because the original one was cracked so I wanted to insure there was no rust) and ordered $800 in rubber weatherstripping… Took the cracked/broken windshield and back glass out, sanded, primed and painted so that a new headliner could be installed under the front and back weatherstripping as suggested by Ford… then the new windshield was delivered broken.

Meanwhile, I pulled the doors apart, repainted, replaced the felt, cleaned the lift mechanisms, pulled the vent windows and reinstalled all that rubber after priming and painting… I had the seat recovered and cut new door panels matching what was in her, when I got her, and I have those junky panels… (I later found re-manufactured molded panels are available online) I was going to recover these in deer hide… a spare set of visors that she has are covered in Spotted Axis Hide (but still have the original visors).

I’ve sanded through trying to pinpoint the original color, which looks like the original Desert Sand, but there is a blue under the primer brown that she is currently wearing. It appears that she has been painted twice in 60 years… after all of that, I have not ever tried to start her. I have an extra rebuilt engine that is ready to assemble (with a new set of all the original Ford stickers, Air Cleaner, 144cc, Oil, etc…) if and when the time came do. She comes with a lot of spare parts (two extra side windows, four vent windows, Carburetor & carb-kit, handles, hinges, molding, etc…) all just in case. There’s an Engine Hoist, an Engine Stand and the Extra Engine. I have way more invested project than $4,500.00, Clear Texas Title… I’ll consider a trade that doesn’t need much so feel free to call or text any questions (409) 4 6 6 9 3 FIVE ONE
